Q: What advice would you give to someone starting a business?
A: For the solopreneur: outsource, outsource, outsource. I've gone from trying to do everything myself to hiring an external team to manage. What works best for me is being a solopreneur with extremely good automated systems and having a rockstar lineup of expert vendors I can confidently outsource parts of my business to.
Being a solopreneur can get a bad rep – like you're not scaling if you don't hire – but I learned the hard way that I don't want to manage people. I want to stick to the creative sides of the business that I love. And the parts of the business I don't love or don't thrive at, I outsource to another woman-owned business that's an expert in that field. It's a win-win!

Our key takeaways.
...on outsourcing business functions.
There comes a point in every business where the path to growth is to grow the team and outsourced solutions can often give you access to people that bring a higher level of expertise for a fraction of the cost. Plus, external "business partners" are an expert in their field and should be able to advise you rather than just taking direction directly from you.
Thank you.
