A month of Gratitude. This month I am dedicating most of the West Logan Square / Avondale Newsletter to those who make a difference in our community. Someone you should know!
Recently I met Avondale resident, Andrea Nolan, to learn about her new, neighborhood startup business and how she plans to help local businesses. Andrea said, “For the last ten years, I knew I wanted to make an impact on small businesses. I’ve had a successful marketing career, I learned a lot from the big guys, and I want to share that with local businesses to help our community thrive.”
Andrea will be taking a more foundational approach to how she wants to use her marketing experience. Just like the importance of having a business plan, she explained to me how a lot of businesses don’t have a solid marketing plan and the huge difference one can make. Her core service will be helping to set communication goals, evaluate the best channels to reach target audiences, and then develop an easy-to-follow framework to make marketing a lot easier.
One other thing to keep an eye out for over the coming months is a workshop series she wants to host to help students and adults in the area develop their personal brands.
“Whether students are thinking about applying to college or entering the job market, everyone is looking at social media nowadays. This applies to adults seeking jobs, too.
Developing a personal brand isn’t difficult, but it can really make you stand out in a big way.” If you want to learn more about her services or workshops, sign up for her mailing list.
