Fifteen Marketing (Chicago) is offering an unpaid digital marketing internship for someone interested in pursuing a rewarding career in one of the most in-demand industries.


This internship does not require that you be actively enrolled in college. All levels of experience and education are encouraged to apply.


For current college students, we are happy to help tailor the experience and complete the necessary requirements for you to earn college credits after a successful internship. However, earning college credit is the responsibility of the student and their career center / counselor. If you are interested in earning college credit, please be sure to have a discussion with your school’s career center BEFORE applying so that if you secure an interview for the internship, we can discuss what is needed for you to earn credits.

Through hands-on training with digital platforms and tools, plus the ability to apply your creativity and talent to actual marketing campaigns (that you can use for a portfolio), you will gain valuable experience that plugs into what digital marketers need to be successful in today’s world.


After a successful internship is completed and all requirements are met, we would love to help you build out your portfolio and resume, as well as connect you to our network of industry contacts that make sense for whatever you’re interested in pursuing.


  • Work with the Owner on a weekly basis to help brainstorm ideas aligned with our content strategy specific to our Instagram, LinkedIn and Google Business channels.

  • Assist with the research and development for our new quarterly newsletter to be launched in June.

  • Support other marketing initiatives, depending on your strengths and interests.

Are you the right fit?

Our ideal intern is someone passionate about carving their own career path in digital marketing or one of the supporting arts – graphic design, videography, content creation, copywriting, multimedia – that help make great marketing.


Your level of experience doesn’t matter, but your approach to problem-solving, creativity, and how you present yourself and your work does.

Most important to the internship is that it’s mutually beneficial. We have specific projects that we want to get you involved with and see completed during our time together, but we also want to give you opportunities aligned with your interests so you can gain experience in specific areas that you love.

What are the hours and do I need to be in-person?

Hours and location are flexible for this internship and will run from mid-May to mid-August based on your schedule, location, etc.


This internship requires 10-15 hours per week, but we are flexible about when the work gets done as long as you hit any important deadlines and are available via phone/text during regular business hours.


Because Fifteen Marketing is primarily run out of an in-home loft space in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago, we are offering a hybrid work arrangement that balances collaboration (in-person) and flexibility (video meetings).


Our preferred candidate should be able to travel 1-2 days per month to work in-person. Fifteen Marketing is conveniently located three blocks away from the Belmont Blue Line station, walking distance to a number of bus stops along Belmont and Diversey, and one minute from the Belmont/Kedzie or Kimball exit off of 90 depending on your direction of travel.

Fifteen Marketing is owned and operated by Andrea Nolan. After more than a decade of working for industries including financial services, healthcare, and nonprofits for corporate employers, she launched her own digital marketing company in 2020 to help small businesses turn their passion into profit.
